Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Osici |
Planet type | Cold planet |
Osici is a terrestrial planet with a thin atmosphere, having surface features reminiscent both of the impact craters of the Moon and the valleys, deserts, and polar ice caps of Earth. Osici is orbiting HD 44385 every 470 Earth days.
The planet is named after the deity Osici, the demon of war.
Because of its fast rotation, the planet's shape is that of an oblate spheroid (it has a slight but noticeable bulge around the equator).
In 3277, images from Daedalus 7 showed Osici as an almost featureless planet in visible light, without the cloud bands or storms associated with the other cold planets. |
