Suggested name | Ijimona |
Planet type | Cold planet |
The planet is named after the deity Ijimona, the god of destruction.
Two spacecraft have visited Ijimona: Wayfinder 7 flew by 23 years ago; and Messenger, launched 20 years ago, orbited Ijimona over 135 times in four years before exhausting its fuel and crashing into the planet's surface 5 years later.
The latest probe to visit the planet is Pioneer, which entered into orbit around Ijimona after a troublesome voyage. |
