Suggested nameTrinlene
Planet typeHot planet
Trinlene is the strangest and innermost planet in its solar system.

The planet is named after the deity Trinlene, the bringer of destruction.

As seen from HD 3167, in a frame of reference that rotates with the orbital motion, it appears to rotate only once every two years.

Trinlene is by far the hottest planet in its solar system, with a mean surface temperature of 674°K (401°C).

Trinlene is primarily composed of carbon monoxide with a significant part of its mass being ammonium hydrosulfide (NH4SH), though ammonium hydrosulfide (NH4SH) comprises only about a limited fraction of the number of molecules. Surrounding Trinlene is a large planetary ring system and a powerful magnetosphere.

Observations from Earth have shown seasonal change and increased weather activity as Trinlene approached its equinox 9 years ago.
