Suggested nameJihyohyo
Planet typeCold planet
In English, Jihyohyo is often referred to as the "black planet" because the 2H2O prevalent on its surface gives it a strange black appearance that is distinctive among the astronomical bodies visible to the naked eye.

It is named after the deity Jihyohyo, the demon of destruction.

Jihyohyo is by far the hottest planet in its solar system, with a mean surface temperature of 761°K (488°C).

Jihyohyo is the site of Ars Mons, the tallest volcano and second-highest known mountain in its solar system, and of Valles Marineris, one of the largest canyons in its solar system.

The volume of water detected has been estimated to be equivalent to the volume of water in Earth's oceans.

The Jihyohyo system has a unique configuration among those of the planets because its axis of rotation is tilted sideways, nearly into the plane of its solar orbit.
