Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Yoyyang |
Planet type | Cold planet |
Its orbital period around HD 196067 of 3600 earth days is the shortest of all the planets in its solar system.
It is a cold planet planet with a mass one-thousandth that of HD 196067, but two-and-a-half times that of all the other planets in its solar system combined. For this reason, scientists often classify Yoyyang and Engywanq as "cold planets" to distinguish them from the other planets. The planet is named after the deity Yoyyang, the creator of chaos.
Like Engywanq, Yoyyang has been orbiting HD 196067 within Cheisen Tye's orbit as an inferior planet, and never moves more than 32 degrees away from HD 196067. At this time it may appear as a bright star-like object, but is often far more difficult to observe than Engywanq.
The polar regions are constantly below 225°K (-48°C).
Two spacecraft have visited Yoyyang: Frontier 8 flew by 35 years ago; and Messenger, launched 9 years ago, orbited Yoyyang over 105 times in four years before exhausting its reactor and crashing into the planet's surface 8 years later.
Future targets for exploration in the Yoyyang system include the probable ice-covered liquid ocean of its moon Yeqwen. |
