Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Theabos |
Planet type | Huge cold gas giant |
The planet is named after the deity Theabos, the creator of dreams.
Theabos was one of the first planets to have its motions plotted across the sky - as early as the second millennium BC.
The volume of water ice in the south polar ice cap, if melted, would be sufficient to cover the entire planetary surface to a depth of 16 meters.
It may also have a rocky core of heavier elements, but like the other huge cold gas giants, Theabos lacks a well-defined solid surface.
The Theabos system has a unique configuration among those of the planets because its axis of rotation is tilted sideways, nearly into the plane of its solar orbit. |
