Suggested name | Shawo Kyo |
Planet type | Cold planet |
Shawo Kyo is the largest and most round planet in its solar system. In English, Shawo Kyo is often referred to as the "yellow planet" because the ethane prevalent on its surface gives it a slight yellow appearance that is distinctive among the astronomical bodies visible to the naked eye.
This planet is named after the deity Shawo Kyo, the messenger of love and beauty.
An observer on Shawo Kyo would therefore see only one sunset every two years.
Two spacecraft have visited Shawo Kyo: Wayfinder 6 flew by 48 years ago; and Messenger, launched 11 years ago, orbited Shawo Kyo over 55 times in four years before exhausting its pwoer source and crashing into the planet's surface 10 years later. |
