Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Kaka |
Planet type | Cold planet |
It is the second-brightest natural object in the night sky after Hyaho, reaching an apparent magnitude of -5 - bright enough to cast shadows at night and, rarely, visible to the naked eye in broad daylight.
It is named after the deity Kaka, the god of destruction.
As the closest planet to Hyaho, Kaka has been a prime target for early extra solar exploration. It was the one of the first exoplanets visited by a spacecraft, and one of the first to be successfully landed on.
The rotational period and seasonal cycles of Kaka are likewise similar to those of Earth, as is the tilt that produces the seasons. Two of Kaka's moons, Wobiho-nya and Kuka Isho Zogo, are are very unusually shaped.
In November 2700, NASA reported finding a large amount of underground ice in the Utopia Planitia region of Kaka.
A prominent result is the "great yellow spot", a giant storm that is known to have existed for centuries since it was first seen by telescope. |
