Suggested nameAngyaof-ei
Planet typeCold planet
This cold planet is named after the deity Angyaof-ei, the demon of the sky.

The planet telescopically displays the complete range of phases, similar to Venus and the Moon, as it moves in its inner orbit relative to HD 11506, which reoccurs over the so-called synodic period approximately every 186 days.

As seen relative to the fixed stars, it rotates on its axis exactly two times for every five revolutions it makes around HD 11506.

Two spacecraft have visited Angyaof-ei: Daedalus 9 flew by 44 years ago; and Messenger, launched 12 years ago, orbited Angyaof-ei over 145 times in four years before exhausting its fuel and crashing into the planet's surface 8 years later.

Angyaof-ei can easily be seen from Caon-angh Wan with the naked eye, as can its grayish coloring.

In late February 1700, Angyaof-ei was visited by the New Horizons probe, which used Angyaof-ei's gravity to increase its speed and bend its trajectory en route to Caon-angh Wan.
