Suggested name | Pegipiho Gu |
Planet type | Hot gas giant |
Pegipiho Gu is the closest planet to HATS-67 and one of the oldest in its solar system. It is named after the deity Pegipiho Gu, the god of prosperity.
The planet telescopically displays the complete range of phases, similar to Venus and the Moon, as it moves in its inner orbit relative to HATS-67, which reoccurs over the so-called synodic period approximately every 180 days.
Future targets for exploration in the Pegipiho Gu system include the probable ice-covered liquid ocean of its moon Obigo Nbira Te.
In 2780, images from Wayfinder 6 showed Pegipiho Gu as an almost featureless planet in visible light, without the cloud bands or storms associated with the other hot gas giants. |
