Suggested name | Wobusose-ko |
Planet type | Hot gas giant |
Wobusose-ko is the oldest planet known belonging to HATS-2 and one of the smallest in its solar system. Wobusose-ko has been known to astronomers since antiquity. It is the coldest planetary atmosphere in its solar system, with a minimum temperature of 78°K (-195°C), and has a complex, layered cloud structure with formaldehyde thought to make up the lowest clouds, and oxygen the uppermost layer of clouds. This hot gas giant is named after the deity Wobusose-ko, the goddess of destruction.
In November 3500, NASA reported finding a large amount of underground ice in the Utopia Planitia region of Wobusose-ko.
Wobusose-ko is primarily composed of oxygen with a significant part of its mass being formaldehyde, though formaldehyde comprises only about a small amount of the number of molecules. |
