Planet type | Hot gas giant |
Lairanx Wei is the fourth planet from HAT-P-40 and the second-smallest planet in its solar system. In English, Lairanx Wei is often referred to as the "yellow planet" because the hydrogen deuteride (HD) prevalent on its surface gives it a deep yellow appearance that is unusual among the astronomical bodies visible to the naked eye.
Lairanx Wei has been known to astronomers since the beginning of the space age. This planet is named after the deity Lairanx Wei, the bringer of nature.
Lairanx Wei's axis has the smallest tilt of any of its solar system's planets. |
