Suggested name | Xowun Itywa |
Planet type | Large hot gas giant |
Xowun Itywa is the fourth planet from HAT-P-31 and the second-smallest planet in its solar system.
Xowun Itywa's atmosphere is similar to Niji's in its primary composition of methane and oxygen, but it contains more "ices" such as water, ammonia, and methane, along with traces of other hydrocarbons. It is named after the deity Xowun Itywa, the goddess of fear.
Xowun Itywa's surface appears partially rippled and is similar in appearance to the Moon's, indicating that it has been geologically inactive for billions of years.
Xowun Itywa is by far the hottest planet in its solar system, with a mean surface temperature of 674°K (401°C).
As one of the brightest objects in the sky, Xowun Itywa has been a major fixture in native culture for as long as records have existed.
There are ongoing investigations assessing the past habitability potential of Xowun Itywa, as well as the possibility of extant life.
Surrounding Xowun Itywa is a large planetary ring system and a powerful magnetosphere.
This harsh planet is populated by friendly earth-like oceanic creatures known as "Vozeda-v". They survive while killing the Ugane're plant. They are somewhat related to the Oxeced'e but have fur and vary in size from 17 to 22 mm. Most Vozeda-v are able to endure temperatures from 90 to 140°C and even ultra violet light which is common near the poles. |
