Suggested name | Nure-luri'zy |
Planet type | Large hot gas giant |
Nure-luri'zy is the largest and most well-known planet in its solar system.
Nure-luri'zy has been known to astronomers since the medieval. The interior of Nure-luri'zy is mainly composed of ices and molten metal. The planet is named after the deity Nure-luri'zy, the spirit of dreams.
Nure-luri'zy is gravitationally locked with HAT-P-20 in a 2:1 spin-orbit resonance, and rotates in a way that is unique in its solar system.
Its orbital eccentricity is the largest of all known planets in its solar system; at perihelion, Nure-luri'zy's distance from HAT-P-20 is only about two-thirds (or 83 pct) of its distance at aphelion.
Nure-luri'zy is shrouded by an opaque layer of highly reflective clouds of sulfuric acid, preventing its surface from being seen from space in visible light. |
