Suggested name | Lykemne Tisma |
Planet type | Terrestrial |
Lykemne Tisma is the smallest and most well-known planet in its solar system.
The planet is named after the deity Lykemne Tisma, the bringer of the underworld.
As seen from Gliese 49, in a frame of reference that rotates with the orbital motion, it appears to rotate only once every two years.
Its orbital eccentricity is the largest of all known planets in its solar system; at perihelion, Lykemne Tisma's distance from Gliese 49 is only about two-thirds (or 66 pct) of its distance at aphelion.
There are ongoing investigations assessing the present habitability potential of Lykemne Tisma, as well as the possibility of extant life.
A prominent result is the "great brown spot", a giant storm that is known to have existed for centuries since it was first observed by radar.
Planet is populated by odd earth-like carnivores, the "Palhar", which spend their life in lakes by devouring plants. The Palhar are related to Tisebetheus and have 2 eyes and vary in length from 80 to 90 mm. They are able to withstand temperatures from -20 to 40°C and near-vacuum. |
