Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Farka-loge |
Planet type | Huge cold gas giant |
The planet is named after the deity Farka-loge, the god of destruction.
Farka-loge's surface appears heavily scarred and is similar in appearance to the Moon's, indicating that it has been geologically inactive for billions of years.
The atmospheric pressure at the planet's surface is 0.5 bar, or roughly the pressure found 1035 m under the oceans of Earth.
Farka-loge can easily be seen from Lyfen-heapus with the naked eye, as can its orangeish coloring.
The outer atmosphere is visibly segregated into several bands at different latitudes, resulting in turbulence and storms along their interacting boundaries. Surrounding Farka-loge is a large planetary ring system and a powerful magnetosphere.
Farka-loge has been explored on several occasions by robotic spacecraft, most notably during the early Pioneer and Wayfinder flyby missions and later by the Hawking orbiter.
The largest moon is crawling with friendly but shy but primordial plants known as "Iakalas". They survive in caves while consuming another species called Arqeqnome. Most of them are closely related to Tonat-des but with 7 arms and vary in size from 60 to 80 meters. The Iakalas are known to endure temperatures from -80 to -30°C and the high radiation level which is common on Farka-loge. |
