Suggested nameJafranda
Planet typeHuge cold gas giant
This huge cold gas giant is named after the deity Jafranda, the messenger of the underworld.

Like Atthapoly, Jafranda has been orbiting GJ 570 ABC within Greip Te's orbit as an inferior planet, and never exceeds 32 degrees away from GJ 570 ABC.

Jafranda is gravitationally locked with GJ 570 ABC in a 2:1 spin-orbit resonance, and rotates in a way that is unique in its solar system.

Having almost no atmosphere to retain heat, it has surface temperatures that vary diurnally more than on any other planet in its solar system, ranging from 150°K (-123°C) at night to 700°K (427°C) during the day across the equatorial regions.

The atmospheric pressure at the planet's surface is 8 bar, or roughly the pressure found 810 m under the oceans of Earth. Jafranda is shrouded by an opaque layer of highly reflective clouds of sulfuric acid, preventing its surface from being seen from space in visible light.

Liquid water cannot exist on the surface of Jafranda due to low atmospheric pressure, which is less than 4 percent of Atthapoly's, except at the highest elevations for limited periods.
