Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Kehyu Rya |
Planet type | Cold planet |
This planet is named after the deity Kehyu Rya, the demon of dreams.
Kehyu Rya's surface appears extremely cratered and is similar in appearance to the Moon's, indicating that it has been geologically inactive for billions of years. Having almost no atmosphere to retain heat, it has surface temperatures that vary diurnally more than on any other planet in its solar system, ranging from 105°K (-168°C) at night to 420°K (147°C) during the day across the equatorial regions.
The rotational period and seasonal cycles of Kehyu Rya are likewise similar to those of Kyuomu'sa, as is the tilt that produces the seasons. Two of Kehyu Rya's moons, Hicha and Tsumyo-gyorya, are are very unusually shaped.
Its apparent magnitude reaches -3, which is surpassed only by Kyuomu'sa, Riwaru'pi, and GJ 3293.
The latest probe to visit the planet is Pioneer, which entered into orbit around Kehyu Rya after a very expensive journey. |
