Suggested nameLitarne
Planet typeHot planet
It is the second-brightest natural object in the night sky after Polypho Far, reaching an apparent magnitude of -5 - bright enough to cast shadows at night and, often, visible to the naked eye in broad daylight.

The planet is named after the deity Litarne, the goddess of fear.

When viewed from Earth, this proximity to GJ 1252 means the planet can only be seen near the western or eastern horizon during the early evening or early morning.

An observer on Litarne would therefore see only one winter every four years.

Litarne's axis has the smallest tilt of any of its solar system's planets.

As one of the most prominent objects in the sky, Litarne has been a major inspiration in native culture for as long as records have existed.

Litarne is the site of Celestium Tower, the tallest volcano and second-highest known mountain in its solar system, and of Valles Marineris, one of the largest canyons in its solar system.

The Litarne system has a unique configuration among those of the planets because its axis of rotation is tilted sideways, nearly into the plane of its solar orbit.
