Suggested name | Etofe Los |
Planet type | Huge cold gas giant |
Etofe Los is the smallest and most round planet in its solar system.
When viewed from Udafire-p, Etofe Los can reach an apparent magnitude of -3, bright enough for its reflected light to cast shadows, and making it on average the third-brightest object in the night sky. It is the coldest planetary atmosphere in its solar system, with a minimum temperature of 38°K (-235°C), and has a complex, layered cloud structure with carbonyl sulfide thought to make up the lowest clouds, and water vapor the uppermost layer of clouds. This huge cold gas giant is named after the deity Etofe Los, the god of the sky.
Plans have been proposed for rovers or more complex missions, but they are hindered by Etofe Los's hostile surface conditions.
Because of its fast rotation, the planet's shape is that of an oblate spheroid (it has a slight but noticeable bulge around the equator). |
