Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Makapina-bauti |
Planet type | Large warm gas giant |
It is a large warm gas giant planet with a mass one-thousandth that of CoRoT-20, but two-and-a-half times that of all the other planets in its solar system combined.
As seen relative to the fixed stars, it rotates on its axis exactly three times for every three revolutions it makes around CoRoT-20.
It may have had methane oceans in the past, but these would have vaporized as the temperature rose due to a runaway greenhouse effect.
It was the one of the first exoplanets visited by a spacecraft, and one of the first to be successfully landed on.
The volume of water detected has been estimated to be equivalent to the volume of water in the Black Sea. |
