This huge cold gas giant is named after the deity Lindca, the spirit of hate.
It may have had oxygen oceans in the past, but these would have vaporized as the temperature rose due to a runaway greenhouse effect.
The volume of water ice in the south polar ice cap, if melted, would be sufficient to cover the entire planetary surface to a depth of 6 meters.
Because of its rapid rotation, the planet's shape is that of an oblate spheroid (it has a slight but noticeable bulge around the equator).
One of this planet's inhospitable moons is often populated by harmless poisonous plants, the "Thea Paka", that survive in the mountains by eating anything they find. They are related to the Delia-noegaret and have wings and vary in size from 8 to 10 cm. They are able to withstand temperatures from -60 to -30°C and sometimes drought. |
