Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Pugyja No |
Planet type | Cold planet |
It is the coldest planetary atmosphere in its solar system, with a minimum temperature of 70°K (-203°C), and has a complex, layered cloud structure with carbon monoxide thought to make up the lowest clouds, and ammonia the uppermost layer of clouds. It is named after the deity Pugyja No, the bringer of good fortune.
Pugyja No is gravitationally locked with 8 Umi in a 3:2 spin-orbit resonance, and rotates in a way that is unique in its solar system.
In late February 3000, Pugyja No was visited by the New Horizons probe, which used Pugyja No's gravity to increase its speed and bend its trajectory en route to Osef Acof-e. |
