Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Getela'anere |
Planet type | Small hot gas planet |
This planet is named after the deity Getela'anere, the messenger of dreams.
Having almost no atmosphere to retain heat, it has surface temperatures that vary diurnally more than on any other planet in its solar system, ranging from 85°K (-188°C) at night to 1190°K (917°C) during the day across the equatorial regions.
It is radically different from Francor-ae in other respects. Getela'anere is shrouded by an opaque layer of highly reflective clouds of sulfuric acid, preventing its surface from being seen from space in visible light.
Its north and south poles, therefore, lie where most other planets have their equators. |
