Suggested name | Weizyin |
Planet type | Cold planet |
It is named after the deity Weizyin, the bringer of hate.
Weizyin is gravitationally locked with 2M 1252+2735 in a 5:4 spin-orbit resonance, and rotates in a way that is unique in its solar system.
It was the one of the first exoplanets visited by a spacecraft, and one of the first to be successfully landed on.
Weizyin can easily be seen from Waiwyong Nyuan with the naked eye, as can its orangeish coloring.
Weizyin is primarily composed of nitrogen with a significant part of its mass being argon, though argon comprises only about a tiny fraction of the number of molecules. |
