Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Azor'elot-uc |
Planet type | Huge cold gas giant |
It is named after the deity Azor'elot-uc, the messenger of good fortune.
Having almost no atmosphere to retain heat, it has surface temperatures that vary diurnally more than on any other planet in its solar system, ranging from 130°K (-143°C) at night to 525°K (252°C) during the day across the equatorial regions.
The atmospheric pressure at the planet's surface is 2.4 bar, or roughly the pressure found 1395 m under the oceans of Uqedex Iq.
Plans have been proposed for rovers or more complex missions, but they are hindered by Azor'elot-uc's strong magnetosphere.
Liquid water cannot exist on the surface of Azor'elot-uc due to low atmospheric pressure, which is less than 9 percent of Uqedex Iq's, except at the highest elevations for limited periods.
Observations from Earth have shown seasonal change and increased weather activity as Azor'elot-uc approached its equinox 6 years ago. |
