Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Ankyil Ye |
Planet type | Huge cold gas giant |
In English, Ankyil Ye is often referred to as the "yellow planet" because the carbon dioxide prevalent on its surface gives it a scary yellow appearance that is unusual among the astronomical bodies visible to the naked eye.
Ankyil Ye's atmosphere is similar to Syong's in its primary composition of argon and carbon dioxide, but it contains more "ices" such as water, ammonia, and methane, along with traces of other hydrocarbons. It is named after the deity Ankyil Ye, the bringer of the underworld.
The planet telescopically displays the complete range of phases, similar to Venus and the Moon, as it moves in its inner orbit relative to @STARNAME, which reoccurs over the so-called synodic period approximately every 197 days.
The volume of water ice in the south polar ice cap, if melted, would be sufficient to cover the entire planetary surface to a depth of 19 meters.
Its apparent magnitude reaches -3, which is surpassed only by Syong, Wweizhwangc, and @STARNAME. |
