Mode Switcher (beta)
Convert to / from different ways to transfer audio. Converting L-R stereo to and from M-S stereo is a well-known technique.
Typically you will need to use two instances of this plugin. One to convert to the desired mode,
and another one to convert back to normal audio again.
"Sample Delta" is a novel concept. For instance, if you have a problematic plugin that introduces clicks, you can hide this problem by first converting "To Sample Delta",
then add the problematic plugin, and after that, convert back "From Sample Delta". This will almost entirely remove the clicks.
The "From Sample Delta" conversion has some interesting properties. It will turn white noise into brown noise, square waveforms become triangle waveforms, and triangle waveforms become sine waves (more or less).
The Two Modes:
- "Mid-Side" has the mono signal in the first channel, and the stereo information in the second channel.
- "Sample Delta" is the difference between the current sample and the previous one.
