Suggested name | Aryne-nurem |
Planet type | Huge cold gas giant |
Aryne-nurem is the oldest planet known belonging to pi Men and one of the smallest in its solar system. Aryne-nurem has been known to astronomers since the beginning of the space age. This huge cold gas giant is named after the deity Aryne-nurem, the demon of destruction.
Like Ozur, Aryne-nurem has been orbiting pi Men within Udokyb Ysen's orbit as an inferior planet, and never exceeds 24 degrees away from pi Men.
Having almost no atmosphere to retain heat, it has surface temperatures that vary diurnally more than on any other planet in its solar system, ranging from 115°K (-158°C) at night to 1225°K (952°C) during the day across the equatorial regions. |
