Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Kyuyata Zo |
Planet type | Hot gas giant |
The planet is named after the deity Kyuyata Zo, the demon of prosperity.
Like Noujo Bya, Kyuyata Zo has been orbiting WASP-22 within Chanya-do's orbit as an inferior planet, and never exceeds 18 degrees away from WASP-22.
It was the one of the first exoplanets visited by a spacecraft, and one of the first to be successfully landed on.
In late February 1000, Kyuyata Zo was visited by the New Horizons probe, which used Kyuyata Zo's gravity to increase its speed and bend its trajectory en route to Noujo Bya.
Observations from Earth have shown seasonal change and increased weather activity as Kyuyata Zo approached its equinox 7 years ago. |
