Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Gete |
Planet type | Hot gas giant |
Gete is similar in composition to Monesi-me, and both have different bulk chemical composition from that of the larger hot gas giants. This planet is named after the deity Gete, the spirit of hate.
Like Monesi-me, Gete has been orbiting WASP-169 for 3.8 billion years, and never exceeds 20 degrees away from WASP-169.
The largest moon, Relas Gaeon-kakin, has a diameter greater than that of the planet Mars.
Gete has been explored on several occasions by robotic spacecraft, most notably during the early Pioneer and Wayfinder flyby missions and later by the Isaac orbiter. |
