Fictional info (?)
Suggested nameAnankal
Planet typeHuge cold gas giant
It is the coldest planetary atmosphere in its solar system, with a minimum temperature of 63°K (-210°C), and has a complex, layered cloud structure with water thought to make up the lowest clouds, and methane the uppermost layer of clouds.

It may have had oxygen oceans in the past, but these would have vaporized as the temperature rose due to a runaway greenhouse effect.

It was the one of the first exoplanets visited by a spacecraft, and one of the first to be successfully landed on.

The nice surface is populated by unpredictable earth-like bacteria known as "Riteus'loge-nome". They spend their life there by finding nourishment in the somewhat smaller "Banone" at night. They are believed to be closely related to the Techalobe Teus but have 7 arms and vary in size from 4 to 9 meters. Most Riteus'loge-nome are known to endure temperatures from 150 to 190°C but are killed by the high radiation level which is common on Anankal.
