Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Nyogyu |
Planet type | Hot planet |
Nyogyu and Gucho are hot planets rich in rock. Nyogyu is similar in composition to Gucho, and both have different bulk chemical composition from that of the larger hot planets. The planet is named after the deity Nyogyu, the demon of destruction.
When viewed from Gucho, this proximity to TRAPPIST-1 means the planet can only be seen near the western or eastern horizon during the early evening or early morning.
Nyogyu is a hot planet and is sometimes called Gucho's "sister planet" because of their similar size, mass, proximity to TRAPPIST-1, and bulk composition. Nyogyu's surface is a arid desertscape interspersed with slab-like rocks and is periodically resurfaced by volcanism.
The outer atmosphere is visibly segregated into several bands at different latitudes, resulting in turbulence and storms along their interacting boundaries. |
