Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Byutsu Wa |
Planet type | Small warm gas planet |
Byutsu Wa is the smallest and most round planet in its solar system. In English, Byutsu Wa is often referred to as the "orange planet" because the methane prevalent on its surface gives it a scary orange appearance that is recognizable among the astronomical bodies visible to the naked eye.
It is named after the deity Byutsu Wa, the demon of hate.
Byutsu Wa is shrouded by an opaque layer of highly reflective clouds of sulfuric acid, preventing its surface from being seen from space in visible light.
The two polar ice caps appear to be made largely of water.
The latest probe to visit the planet is Pointer, which entered into orbit around Byutsu Wa after a problematic trip. |
