Suggested nameMisionoe Garet
Planet typeSmall hot gas planet
It is the coldest planetary atmosphere in its solar system, with a minimum temperature of 43°K (-230°C), and has a complex, layered cloud structure with methane thought to make up the lowest clouds, and sulfur dioxide the uppermost layer of clouds. The planet telescopically displays the complete range of phases, similar to Venus and the Moon, as it moves in its inner orbit relative to TOI-3976 A, which reoccurs over the so-called synodic period approximately every 122 days.

Having almost no atmosphere to retain heat, it has surface temperatures that vary diurnally more than on any other planet in its solar system, ranging from 170°K (-103°C) at night to 1120°K (847°C) during the day across the equatorial regions. The polar regions are constantly below 288°K (15°C).

It has the densest atmosphere of the two small hot gas planets, consisting partly of sulfur dioxide. The 2H2O has probably photodissociated, and the free sulfur dioxide has been swept into interplanetary space by the solar wind because of the lack of a molecular hydrogen layer.

The smooth Borealis basin in the northern hemisphere covers 29 percent of the planet and may be a giant impact feature.
