Suggested name | Calporie'paa |
Planet type | Cold gas giant |
Calporie'paa has been known to astronomers since the medieval. When viewed from Sitayka Hemedeia, Calporie'paa can reach an apparent magnitude of -3, bright enough for its reflected light to cast shadows, and making it on average the third-brightest object in the night sky. This cold gas giant is named after the deity Calporie'paa, the creator of war.
Calporie'paa's surface is a dry desertscape interspersed with slab-like rocks and is periodically resurfaced by volcanism.
Future astrobiology missions are planned, including the Calporie'paa 1800 and ExoCalporie'paa rovers. The volume of water detected has been estimated to be equivalent to the volume of water in Lake Superior. |
