Suggested name | Tepakepyu Ta |
Planet type | Small cold gas planet |
This small cold gas planet is named after the deity Tepakepyu Ta, the goddess of prosperity.
When viewed from Tobasu, this proximity to TOI-1272 means the planet can only be seen near the western or eastern horizon during the early evening or early morning.
Having almost no atmosphere to retain heat, it has surface temperatures that vary diurnally more than on any other planet in its solar system, ranging from 125°K (-148°C) at night to 770°K (497°C) during the day across the equatorial regions.
Future astrobiology missions are planned, including the Tepakepyu Ta 2600 and ExoTepakepyu Ta rovers.
Its apparent magnitude reaches -3, which is surpassed only by Tobasu, Momobu, and TOI-1272.
Observations from Earth have shown seasonal change and increased weather activity as Tepakepyu Ta approached its equinox 8 years ago. |
