Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Senyu |
Planet type | Large hot gas giant |
The planet is named after the deity Senyu, the messenger of nature.
Senyu is a large hot gas giant and is sometimes called Earth's "sister planet" because of their similar size, mass, proximity to TOI-1107, and bulk composition.
As one of the brightest objects in the sky, Senyu has been a major fixture in native culture for as long as records have existed.
The smooth Borealis basin in the northern hemisphere covers 26 percent of the planet and may be a giant impact feature.
The outer atmosphere is visibly segregated into several bands at different latitudes, resulting in turbulence and storms along their interacting boundaries.
Observations from Earth have shown seasonal change and increased weather activity as Senyu approached its equinox 4 years ago. |
