Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Tetwan Shyao |
Planet type | Cold planet |
Its orbital period around TOI-1097 of 9.2 earth days is the longest of all the planets in its solar system.
This planet is named after the deity Tetwan Shyao, the god of the sea.
The planet telescopically displays the complete range of phases, similar to Venus and the Moon, as it moves in its inner orbit relative to TOI-1097, which reoccurs over the so-called synodic period approximately every 58 days.
As the closest planet to Aoxao Pao, Tetwan Shyao has been a prime target for early extra solar exploration. Plans have been proposed for rovers or more complex missions, but they are hindered by Tetwan Shyao's strong magnetosphere.
The volume of water detected has been estimated to be equivalent to the volume of water in Lake Superior.
The Tetwan Shyao system has a unique configuration among those of the planets because its axis of rotation is tilted sideways, nearly into the plane of its solar orbit. Wind speeds can reach 104 metres per second. |
