Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Cacorde Kal |
Planet type | Huge cold gas giant |
This huge cold gas giant is named after the deity Cacorde Kal, the bringer of nature.
The methane has probably photodissociated, and the free xenon has been swept into interplanetary space by the solar wind because of the lack of a krypton layer. Cacorde Kal's surface is a dry desertscape interspersed with slab-like rocks and is periodically resurfaced by volcanism.
The rotational period and seasonal cycles of Cacorde Kal are likewise similar to those of Earth, as is the tilt that produces the seasons.
Surrounding Cacorde Kal is a large planetary ring system and a powerful magnetosphere. |
