Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Poneso |
Planet type | Hot gas giant |
It is named after the deity Poneso, the god of good fortune.
As seen from NGTS-23, in a frame of reference that rotates with the orbital motion, it appears to rotate only once every two years. An observer on Poneso would therefore see only one sunrise every three years.
As one of the brightest objects in the sky, Poneso has been a major factor in native culture for as long as records have existed.
Wind speeds can reach 144 metres per second.
The largest moon is dangerous because of the friendly stone-age carnivores, the "Julmne", which survive on the surface while consuming anything they find Most of them are not similar to the Aernoe Nand but have 8 eyes and vary in size from 50 to 80 meters. The Julmne can live at temperatures from 0 to 60°C and also drought which is common on this planet. |
