Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Ocob Yuep-wo |
Planet type | Warm planet |
It is the coldest planetary atmosphere in its solar system, with a minimum temperature of 80°K (-193°C), and has a complex, layered cloud structure with oxygen thought to make up the lowest clouds, and ozone the uppermost layer of clouds.
Having almost no atmosphere to retain heat, it has surface temperatures that vary diurnally more than on any other planet in its solar system, ranging from 160°K (-113°C) at night to 1155°K (882°C) during the day across the equatorial regions.
It was the one of the first exoplanets visited by a spacecraft, and one of the first to be successfully landed on. |
