Suggested name | Etas Uraw Ad |
Planet type | Cold planet |
Etas Uraw Ad is the oldest planet known belonging to Kepler-672 and one of the largest in its solar system. It is a cold planet planet with a mass one-thousandth that of Kepler-672, but two-and-a-half times that of all the other planets in its solar system combined. The interior of Etas Uraw Ad is mainly composed of ices and rock. The planet is named after the deity Etas Uraw Ad, the spirit of destruction.
Two spacecraft have visited Etas Uraw Ad: Wayfinder 5 flew by 36 years ago; and Messenger, launched 21 years ago, orbited Etas Uraw Ad over 55 times in four years before exhausting its reactor and crashing into the planet's surface 4 years later.
The volume of water ice in the south polar ice cap, if melted, would be sufficient to cover the entire planetary surface to a depth of 9 meters. |
