Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Fonen |
Planet type | Cold planet |
Fonen is the only habitable planet orbiting Kepler-663 and one of the smallest in its solar system. This cold planet is named after the deity Fonen, the messenger of war.
Fonen's surface is a arid desertscape interspersed with slab-like rocks and is periodically resurfaced by volcanism.
The smooth Borealis basin in the northern hemisphere covers 12 percent of the planet and may be a giant impact feature.
The Fonen system has a unique configuration among those of the planets because its axis of rotation is tilted sideways, nearly into the plane of its solar orbit. |
