Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Fufe Ru |
Planet type | Huge cold gas giant |
It is a huge cold gas giant planet with a mass one-thousandth that of Kepler-53, but two-and-a-half times that of all the other planets in its solar system combined. Fufe Ru and Nyjajym Eli are huge cold gas giants rich in ice. When viewed from Nyjajym Eli, Fufe Ru can reach an apparent magnitude of -3, bright enough for its reflected light to cast shadows, and making it on average the third-brightest object in the night sky. The planet is named after the deity Fufe Ru, the messenger of nature.
As one of the brightest objects in the sky, Fufe Ru has been a major fixture in native folklore for as long as records have existed.
The smooth Borealis basin in the northern hemisphere covers 24 percent of the planet and may be a giant impact feature.
Because of its fast rotation, the planet's shape is that of an oblate spheroid (it has a slight but noticeable bulge around the equator).
Observations from Earth have shown seasonal change and increased weather activity as Fufe Ru approached its equinox 7 years ago. |
