Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Zobucha |
Planet type | Hot planet |
This planet is named after the deity Zobucha, the creator of dreams.
Zobucha is gravitationally locked with Kepler-381 in a 2:1 spin-orbit resonance, and rotates in a way that is unique in its solar system. As seen relative to the fixed stars, it rotates on its axis exactly two times for every three revolutions it makes around Kepler-381.
The polar regions are constantly below 144°K (-129°C).
Zobucha's dense atmosphere render observation of its surface impossible in ultraviolet light, and the first detailed maps did not emerge until the arrival of the Magellan orbiter 36 years ago. |
