Suggested name | Yingwye |
Planet type | Hot planet |
In English, Yingwye is often referred to as the "white planet" because the carbon dioxide prevalent on its surface gives it a pale white appearance that is unusual among the astronomical bodies visible to the naked eye. Yingwye is a terrestrial planet with a thin atmosphere, having surface features reminiscent both of the impact craters of the Moon and the valleys, deserts, and polar ice caps of Earth. Yingwye is orbiting Kepler-251 every 4.8 Earth days.
The planet is named after the deity Yingwye, the messenger of prosperity.
Liquid water cannot exist on the surface of Yingwye due to low atmospheric pressure, which is less than 4 percent of Byan-mye's, except at the highest elevations for short periods.
Surrounding Yingwye is a irregular planetary ring system and a powerful magnetosphere. |
