Suggested name | Tamu Gapya Byu |
Planet type | Small cold gas planet |
Tamu Gapya Byu is a terrestrial planet with a thin atmosphere, having surface features reminiscent both of the impact craters of the Moon and the valleys, deserts, and polar ice caps of Earth. Tamu Gapya Byu is orbiting Kepler-145 every 23 Earth days.
This small cold gas planet is named after the deity Tamu Gapya Byu, the god of chaos.
Two spacecraft have visited Tamu Gapya Byu: Wayfinder 7 flew by 42 years ago; and Messenger, launched 24 years ago, orbited Tamu Gapya Byu over 75 times in four years before exhausting its plasma drive and crashing into the planet's atmosphere 6 years later.
The rotational period and seasonal cycles of Tamu Gapya Byu are likewise similar to those of Jupagyu Zeku, as is the tilt that produces the seasons. |
