It is a cold planet planet with a mass one-thousandth that of Kepler-1430, but two-and-a-half times that of all the other planets in its solar system combined. This planet is named after the deity Yuanch Wu, the spirit of the sky.

Its orbital eccentricity is the largest of all known planets in its solar system; at perihelion, Yuanch Wu's distance from Kepler-1430 is only about two-thirds (or 36 pct) of its distance at aphelion.

Optical ground-based telescopes are typically limited to resolving features about 465 kilometers across when Yuanch Wu is closest because of Earth's atmosphere.
