Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Chikyu-ri |
Planet type | Cold planet |
The planet is named after the deity Chikyu-ri, the creator of dreams.
Like Chibyo Fu, Chikyu-ri has been orbiting Kepler-1419 for 4.4 billion years, and never moves more than 27 degrees away from Kepler-1419.
Chikyu-ri's surface appears very scarred and is similar in appearance to the Moon's, indicating that it has been geologically inactive for billions of years. Having almost no atmosphere to retain heat, it has surface temperatures that vary diurnally more than on any other planet in its solar system, ranging from 70°K (-203°C) at night to 1085°K (812°C) during the day across the equatorial regions.
Plans have been proposed for rovers or more complex missions, but they are hindered by Chikyu-ri's strong magnetosphere. |
